Making Money Selling Your Digital Photos Online: Quick Tips # 1

Are you serious about making money selling your digital photos online? Here is a quick tip on how you can be successful and make more money selling your digital photos online. It isn't enough to just have a digital camera and take a few digital photographs to submit to a stock photo agency. Stock photo agencies are bombarded with, run of the mill, ordinary snapshots every day.

It seems like everyone with a digital camera thinks their digital photographs are great. What they do not realize is the camera can only do so much. The real quality of the image is usually, if not always, created with post processing. Serious photographers use ,Adobe Photoshop, or Adobe Photoshop Elements, to enhance and retouch their photographs.
Even if you think your original digital picture is great, the chances are, it can be improved upon. Perhaps you could give the colors more saturation, or maybe improve the color balance by warming your photograph up a little, by adding a little red or yellow to the color balance. Maybe you need to remove an unwanted object and create a real winning image.

Unless your photograph has been taken under ideal lighting conditions, such as, in a studio, the color balance is probably a little cold. Under a cloudy or overcast sky, most digital photographs have a slightly green or blue cast to them. This should be corrected before submitting them for sale to a stock photo agency. Remember, the better your photographs look, the easier they are to sell. And sales mean more money in your pocket.

Until lately, only dedicated Professional Photographers were willing to put in the effort to learn Adobe Photo-shop. The learning curve is quite steep if you only use a written manual. Especially if you are not fully familiar with the terminology. Remember these manuals were written by computer experts, who are not in touch with the real world, and ordinary people.

Well that has all recently changed with the release of some very good video training lessons for Photo-shop. There are a few programs available for people who are totally new to Photo-shop. In fact some of these lessons are so easy to follow with their, step by step, on screen demonstration. that you can actually learn the basics of how to edit your digital photographs in a matter of just a few hours.

If you are serious about selling your digital photographs on line. Or if you just want to learn how to edit your digital images for fun, I highly recommend that you take a look at one of these new, how to, Photo-shop Video Lessons.
